With an explosion-proof ATEX certified housing, IDC helped Specac develop the first portable lab grade NIR spectrometer for liquids analysis.

IDC developed a breakthrough portable NIR analyser for liquid sample analysis in a wide range of applications, from lubricants to wine analysis.

The liquids analyser is based around a proven MEMS spectrometer coupled with a patented optical design.

Production prototypes were created at IDC Models using SLA’s in combination with the vacuum casting process.

Through close collaboration with Specac’s optics engineers, IDC was able to create the world’s first ATEX compliant portable NIR spectrometer.
