IDC worked with Cogent to develop new concepts for a revolutionary new telemedicine monitoring unit, which would enable the monitoring and care of patients at home by hospital-based doctors and medical support staff.

The aim of the device was to transmit ongoing data about patients' conditions, which could then be reviewed by hospitals and serve as an ongoing record of their health.

IDC's industrial designers focused on developing concepts that would be simple and appealing to use for patients of all ages. Working with Cogent's electronics team, IDC's engineers then came up with a solution to meet all technological challenges.

IDC Models produced SLA models of the monitoring unit and prototypes for evaluation.
