‘ A world leader in the analysis of blood samples making bacteria analysis of all blood donations a practical and economic process.’
IDC created a state of the art Laboratory machine and turned it into a consumer product.
The brief required IDC to take a blood analysis process developed at York University and develop a complete machine and analysis system for the automated analysis of multiple blood cells.
Donated blood must be analysed for any bacterial anomalies. With people's health at risk every precaution must be taken where blood screening is concerned.
IDC developed the Blood Analysis System for the automated analysis of multiple blood samples. By creating a Bio Sensor design any bacteria in the blood will be sensed immediately which could save lives by making blood donations safer.
IDC developed a machine for the loading, sampling and PC analysis of multiple blood samples. The research conducted for the design and implementation of the system included the search for non-toxic and light but stable process materials in order to engineer polymers to mould the disposable cassettes.
Where project management and assembly of the Blood Analysis System were concerned, IDC managed the whole development and undertook the initial production of the machines.
The resulting machine is a world leader in the analysis of blood samples making bacterial analysis of all blood donations a practical and economic process.
