Working at IDC.
Hear from the team

Meet some of our team and hear thoughts on what it's like to work at IDC.

Working at IDC fits in with a healthy and active lifestyle. The flexitime policy allows me to be out on my mountain bike in the Surrey Hills before 5pm on weekdays. Having freedom around when I start and finish work allows me to work at the times of day when I’m most productive and focused, eat when I like to eat and exercise when I like to exercise.

It's genuinely collaborative and that only helps push the standard of our work. The studio is a place where everyone is happy to lend their expertise and opinion at any time and no problem goes unsolved when the whole team is on hand!

One of the things that makes IDC unique is that there is no limit to the level of influence you can have. There is no restriction on the exposure of more junior members. The level of responsibility given is as much as anyone proves themselves able to take on - and I think that's brilliant! It's a great environment and one that promotes continual learning, personal development and sharing of knowledge.

The exposure to different industries, projects and clients at IDC is second to none. Each day presents new creative challenges and the work life balance allows me to enjoy my hobbies while being productive during the hours that suit me.

IDC has been the most fun and challenging time in my career - which is what has kept me here for over 40 years! I’ve had the opportunity to work on many projects that have the potential to improve lives and at the same time learn new processes and greatly expand my knowledge. I now enjoy helping others and passing on what I've learnt along the way.

IDC has given me the opportunity to take on real responsibility from the moment I stepped through the door. There is a trust and confidence instilled in young designers to affect real change and take a lead. All the while knowing you have the support of a hugely experienced team who can guide and support you, but also have a vested interest in improving you as an individual.
