International product design company, IDC (Industrial Design Consultancy), is delighted to announce that Dr Ryan Fenton has joined IDC’s board of directors.

IDC’s MD, Stephen Knowles, warmly welcomes Ryan as a Director saying, “Ryan’s creativity and engineering leadership has gone from strength to strength since he joined IDC as a new graduate and we’re excited about his board-level contributions. We are a forward looking company which believes in nurturing young talent and Ryan is not only an example of this, but will be extremely valuable in developing team talent in his new role.”

After several years working in the financial industry, Ryan joined IDC direct from his Industrial Design BSc at Brunel University. He initially joined as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate on a two year contract to develop a solar powered fridge, which later became the subject of a PhD which he was awarded last year. After four years working as a Design Engineer, Ryan was promoted to Project Manager and has spent the last four years leading engineering teams on award-winning projects at IDC.

Ryan comments, “I’m honoured to have been invited to join the board at IDC and sit alongside those who have mentored me in my development over the past 10 years. Moving forward, I want to play a key role in the development of IDC, not just commercially, but as a thought leader in our industry. We recruit some of the best talent in both engineering and design, and I’m thrilled to be on the board of a company that is widely recognised for innovative and highly effective product design solutions.”
