Speaking at the international pharmaceutical packaging exhibition, InnoPack, which took place in Shanghai at the end of June, IDC was invited to share its product development experience and provide insight into latest design technologies for pharmaceutical drug delivery.

YiFei Dai, MD of IDC’s China office, spoke about the advantages of electronic technologies in drug delivery devices. She focused on issues such as patient safety through improved dosage accuracy, display clarity and ease of use for patients, as well as technology to reduce the workload of doctors and improve communication and feedback with medical staff through data transfer. Using real life examples from IDC’s award-winning products, she also highlighted the commercial issues of developing such products, from cost and time investment requirements through to testing and safety for market success.
