As a leading, globally recognised product design company, IDC knows the value of a great team of industrial designers and engineers that can make your product a success, this is why we insist on a multi-national as well as multi-disciplinary team for both our UK and China branches.

IDC frequently works with organisations across the globe and has multilingual designers to support this; spoken languages include French, German, Italian, Dutch, Serbo-Croat, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Mike Pratt: General Manager
Michael is the General Manager of IDC China. An MEng graduate from Brunel University, he is also a Design Engineer and Project Manager in the IDC China team and is responsible for ensuring the world-class quality of design and engineering of IDC China. He has experience developing breakthrough technologies, designing new products and devices in industrial and consumer sectors, and he has Red-Dot award-winning products in the medical sector.
Richard Weil: Senior Design Engineer
Since graduating with a BSc in Product Design and an MSc in Interaction Design, Richard has spent the last 10 years gaining highly diverse experience and insights in the product development industry. Working in international blue-chip companies and top-calibre design consultancies as lead mechanical engineer, he has ensured high quality consumer, industrial and medical products are delivered from research-level concepts into commercially successful and award-winning products.
Jaoui Liu: Studio Coordinator
Jaoui graduated from the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France, with two bachelor's degrees in Corporation Management and International Business. She is fluent in Mandarin, English and French. Her years of experience in multinational corporations, brings excellent client communication and project management skills, patience and attention to detail. Jaoui enables the IDC team to maximize effectiveness by managing client communications and offering multilingual support between Chinese clients and global IDC designers and engineers.
Hao Hua: Senior Industrial Designer
Hao has considerable overseas experience from several top US consultancies and an education in both engineering and design - Nanjing University of Science & Technology and Purdue University in the US. Hao has the interdisciplinary skills to create wonderfully resolved solutions to difficult design problems. His focus is human factors and user experience in medical product design, with experience in consumer electronics, housewares and packaging.
Sebastien Frys: Design Engineer
Sebastien has an extensive experience working in China, UK and France, developing sophisticated award winning robotic and interactive systems. With a BSc in Electronics, an MSc in Mechanical Design Engineering, and an MDes in Industrial Innovation, he has the perfect set of skills to solve highly complex interdisciplinary problems to help businesses make a difference through design. His specialisms include mechatronics systems, human machine interaction, and user experiences design.
