Boots E45 viscous cream delivered in one shot by IDC

IDC created new technology to cater for the requirements of the Boots dispenser, which needed to replace their existing E45 packaging with the objective of eliminating cross contamination and maintaining the traditional bottle and cap container.

At IDC we understand that constant innovation is required to keep our clients standards, specifications and cost objectives as key goals in every project.

No existing pump could cater to dispensing highly viscous E45 cream through a one- shot action pump. IDC created the technology to provide a product to these specific requirements.

IDC led all the industrial design and engineering concept work; created foam models to assess functional and visual impact of the product; created the engineering desing and the functional prototypes for test and market review. We also liaised with a European high volume container manufacturer to ensure the product was low in cost and high in value production.

The dispenser proved to be a phenomenal success which achieved every specification neccesary. With a low cost and high volume production rate our clients were able to keep to their cost objectives whilst delivering a product high in qaulity and standards.
