IDC was approached by Liesuregrow and asked to design a Barbecue that would provide a contemporary image for their existing range. The product would have to utilise new manufacturing materials and techniques.

IDC created a barbecue with a contemporary slant to the traditional three/four burner flat and hooded barbecue design. We identified new materials and production techniques that could be utilized in the development of the product. Initial product design sketches explored a wide variety of potential routes forward, then 3D CAD was employed to finalise the selection scheme.

During the final stages, we liaised with the Australian and Chinese manufacturing facilities to oversee the design integrity of the final product. We also adapted and prepared prototypes ready for exhibition in both the UK and Germany.
