IDC was approached by DuPont to design a shopping basket that would improve the overall brand experience for customers. IDC realised that the best way to do this was to ergonomically design the basket to fit the human form, as well as using soft material to protect the produce and make the shopping basket unique and effortless to carry.
Full engineering of the whole process was completed by IDC, which included materials research and mould-flow analysis. The shopping basket was lightweight, recyclable, and had potential for in-store R7 scanning. IDC also improved the aesthetics by creating a sleek design and incorporating colour into the basket.
The basket is a low cost, high quality product, which is simple to manufacture and improves the overall shopping experience for any consumer.
