Colour Guides
Babylo is a leading baby care brand in Ireland and supplies a wide range of products, sourced from the Far East. IDC undertook a design exercise to turn a selection of products and turn them into a coherent and higher value ‘range’ of products simply by making changes to the colours, textures and treatments of the fabrics and mouldings.
IDC were approached to come up with a strategy to create a common theme amongst the various products and mark them with the Babylo brand. The proposal was to look at the colour co-ordination of the products then look at no investment cost ideas. By creating a common element through the products by highlighting the trim/stitching in combination with the colours would build a common approach of the Babylo brand across each element.
IDC developed a range of colour schemes derived from contemporary trends in Europe, and which related to the markets. The idea would be to refresh the range every year, depending on current trends. This strategy is now being used by Babylo.
