We’re really excited by the Government’s latest funding initiative, Design Foundations, from Innovate UK. It means that UK registered businesses could access funding of up to £100K for physical or digital products as well as services or business models.
Innovate UK recognises that companies do not invest sufficiently in early stage design and consequently is providing a pot of £3 million in grants for the Design Foundations scheme. Up to 70% of funding can be allocated to design consultancies, such as ourselves, so that businesses can get professional support for early stage design to help produce concepts, plans, investment pitches and models.
There will be three competitive rounds of funding, with the first opening on 9th January 2017, followed by two more in May and August.
