Modular design
wins Indian market

IDC developed Godrej's most successful appliance yet to help regain market share. Within 12 months the Pentacool range had taken Godrej from 10% to 30% market share.

Threatened by foreign competition, Indian appliance company Godrej approached IDC to create a competitive new range.

Starting with in depth user research, IDC identified consumers with widely varying diets, habits and budgets. The team then produced a selection of concepts to support these consumer needs, focusing on different food storage options.

A modular design approach allowed economical production of a wide range of models. These were so successful, they quickly became the best selling product range that Godrej had ever produced.

IDC was instrumental in helping Godrej regain the market share they had lost to foreign competition and within 12 months the Pentacool range had taken Godrej from 10% to 30% market share.
